Wizard of Oz

Jared's Dad and two of his brothers, Dusty and Byron, tried out for the play Wizard of Oz and they each got parts. Jerry got the Great Wizard, Dusty got to be the Emerald City Gate Keeper, and Byron got to be the Tin Man.

Then they got the parts, we decided as a family that we would read the book before hand since the play is kind of a mix of the movie and the book.  It was a great way to spend time as a family and then when we took the kids to the play, we were lucky enough to land seats on the very front row. The kids were in complete awe over seeing their family up on the stage acting out the Wizard of Oz. It was a great family night out!!!
Standing in line to give our congratulations on a play well done!
You can see Jerry in his Wizard costume.
The kids were excited to see up close.
Dusty with his Gate Keeper costume
We couldn't take pictures during the show but Byron's Tin Man costume was pretty extravagant. You can see the leftover silver makeup around his eyes, he doesn't normally wear silver eyeshadow...at least I don't think so.
WE love supporting our family in their plays, it is so much fun to go to them!
Next year they are putting on Thoroughly Modern Millie and I really really truly badly want to be in it....but I don't sing well...so we will see if I get casted even as a back row player....sniff...sniff!
