Christmas Decorations

Well it is time to put up the Christmas tree again. We love this tree because it us plush and big and we bought it for 5 Bucks at a yard sale. I tell you, yard sales are the way to go when you want to get some really good Christmas stuff for a small amount of money.

The kids love fluffing out each branch and assembling it!
We have two trees. One that goes in our upstairs big window and one down in our family room. The upstairs tree is I guess you could say our "fancy tree". It just has ribbon bows and lights because we were very poor our first year and used the only things we already had. So, it is kind of in memory of our poor, or poorer, days.
The tree that we have in our family room downstairs has all the family ornaments on it that the kids make through the years.

Kenzie's Kindergarten ornament.
 Jared organizing the ornaments.
My job is to make sure some ornaments get put at the top of the tree.
Jordyn really liked putting ornaments up, and...she had enjoyed pulling them off too. But she just looks at them this year, last year she kept eating them.

Lexie just loves decorating the tree!

Our favorite part of the Christmas tree is the lights. We turn off all the lights in our house and we sit around the glow of the tree and talk with the kids about the signs and symbols of Christmas.
I love the Christmas season of love and service!
