Bowl-Ero

Me helping Kenzie bowl. She was so cute. She got to the point where she would do it by herself. She would lug the ball to the line, set it down and push it. The ball would ever-so-slowly meander its way down and then hit the pins. She would then jump around and laugh. She had the highest score against the other kids. So cute!

I was bowler # 5, and Jared was bowler #6. I am so proud of Jared, in our whole time of knowing eachother, I have never seen him score over 100, and this night he scored 136. I would also like to add that he has never beaten me when bowling so that is good too. :) As you can see I scored 151. Darick, #2 player, bowls every week at work, sooo....I did well against him for not bowling in over 3 years.

It was a lot of fun to go with our family. Jamie, Mel and the boys came up from Utah to visit. We watched the Indiana Jones movie, and Juno, played basketball all together with Jared's brothers, played Acquier, a really fun game from the 60's, and had BBQ's, sausage gravy breakfast's together, and bowled. A good weekend if you ask me.

Hair Cuts: After

He is kind of like a little old man, in his suite, so so so cute!

Indiana Jones Look-a-like

Some good friends of mine and Jared's named James and Emily, always win stuff on the radio. This past week they won tickets to see the new Indiana Jones movie. It was a family 4 pack but their kids are little like ours so instead of taking them, they invited us instead. When they won tickets to the last Harry Potter movie, tons of people dressed up and won prizes for it, so...we decided to dress up for this one. I then set out to find the perfect outfit for us. Jared already had the hat so it was just a matter of finding a khaki colored shirt and making it look all sweaty. I used canola oil for that and just scrubbed it into his shirt. I found the strappy satchel thing at DI. I also told him he had to not shave for a couple of days so that he would have the scruffy look. As you can see, the outfit turned out pretty good. He is so cute!
I tried to find a grey shirt and grey pant oufit, like the girl in this movie but without the short black hair wig, it just didn't look right. I tried but it didn't work out as I had hoped. So...I tried dressing like the girl from the Last Crusade, but obviously don't have blonde hair anymore so there wasn't much resemblense. However, our friends dressed like Indiana Jones' Dad and Marion. They looked good!





Emily won The Temple of Doom movie while we were there and Jared was called up to the front of the theater to show off his outfit. I am proud to say that even though my outfit didn't turn out, he sure did get a lot of attention from the other movie goers. Hey, we also got free plastic toy snakes and licorice "whip" (not a rope, but a whip). We had a lot of fun.

Science Camp 2008

Every year Jared leaves me for a few days to go a a Science Camp trip with the 6th grade. This year, I was lucky enough to go to. We went to a 4H camp in Wyoming. It is a really pretty place as you can see below. It reminds me of home, in Washington. At this camp, the kids go to different stations and learn about things they have studied all year long. Some stations are craft/art: tye dying shirts, science: water testing, geography and social studies:orienteering and mapping and forestry, P.E.: archery, and rifle range and probably the hike to.
Jared and I were in charge of the water testing. The lake area you see above is where we went. There was a marsh area and it had the lake, a pond, a creek, and a stream. We sent the kids off to test the ph levels of the water and the oxygen levels. We wanted to find out if the water could sustain life...obviously it can, but we still tested it anyways! :) We also had them record different animals they saw or plants, or insects. It was really fun! On one of the trips, we took 5 different trips out to the spot, I made a little friend that kept asking for my hat, stalker kid...wouldn't leave me alone the rest of the trip. And another little boy developed a crush for me. He told Jared he couldn't keep me forever, he'd get me one way or another, funny! Jared couldn't stop laughing at him!
On the way home, they stop at a world famous gas station that serves square ice cream, yep, square ice cream. It is a special kind of scooper. Pretty cool! I imagined something different when they said square ice cream but this is what it looks like.

More Science Camp Stuff

Just before we are about to leave to school for the camp ground. Jared and I ask to see the list of kids who will be in each of our cabins to chaperone for the next couple of days. We look at the list and see that our names aren't on it, which we point out. We ask why and one of the directors yanks the list out of our hands and says "none of your business." We were surprised and when we got to the camp sites, there was a cabin with a sign on it, just for us. We must really be liked! Never do you get to stay together as spouses but we must really be liked. This was the special sign made just for us. Funny! There were jokes the entire time from other chaperones about how "breaking in the suite" and "animal sounds in the night".

This in Byron Price, one of the chaperones on the trip and good buddy to Jared and myself. He use to be an NFL player before he blew out his knee. He hurt his back somehow and I am walking on it to loosen it up. He loved it. His really cool awsome wife, Marilee, won't ever step on his back so he called her up to tell her he found another woman who would. Jared took the picture to prove it.

We were up in the mountains, just an hour away from Jackson, Wyoming. (That's were Harrison Ford lives.) We went to Jackson to go swimming, it would have been really cool to see him but He is probably out going to his new movie premier of Indiana Jones. Anyways, isn't the background pretty!

(Side note: our very cool friends James and Emily won ticket to go to the premier here in Idaho falls on Friday. They asked if we could go to and so we are going and dressing up for it. I will try to get pixs of that for you.)
More pretty pixs, it was cold and rainy but nature is beautiful no matter if it is sunny or snowy.

I Am A Super Baby on My Super First Birthday

Hey guys, Eli here, mom doesn't know I'm bloggin but I just wanted to show off my six pack. I am trying to get my cape off my head but I just can't figure it out.
So, I totally love chocolate cake! I think my mom and dad chose chocolate cake becuase it makes a bigger mess, but I dug into it like there was not tomorrow. It was totally awesome!

I think my mom and dad must really love me because after the chocolate cake, they gave me an ice cream cone. It rocked my world! I have a sweet life!
Check this, I got presents from my fam. Some sweet new clothes to show off in front of the ladies, a mini swimming pool to hang in with my posse, some fine literature to chew on untill I lean how to read, a kangaroo toy that doesn't make to much noise (Aunt Heidi gave that to me, she is so cool!) and some new fun plates to eat off of when I decide that throwing my plate over the edge of my high chair isn't fun any more. It was the best birthday ever!
But get this, I didn't leave my guest hangin'. I gave them this sweet gift bag. It had in it: Bubbles, a balloon that you hit like you are a boxer, totally cool, a water gun, and some dumb dumb suckers. Yeah, I know, I give a pretty cool party!

I am glad that my family could come. I've lived a full year with them and they are the best! Love you guys, peace out!

How old do I look?

Two years ago, Jared asked me if I wanted to go to a dance. I was really excited because we haven't gone dancing for a long time, so I said "Heck yes I do!" He said, "Great, our school is putting one on and they need chaperone's." I was still excited even if it was going to be a Jr. High dance. I could show off my sweet moves since you know all those kids are going to do is stand on the sideline until a slow song comes on, then proceed to do the Deacon Shuffle.

Anyways, so I get there and Jared and I just cut up the rug. We are having a blast! We are doing the Rogger Rabbit, the Running Man, Cha Cha, Bunny Hop, and all sorts of made up moves. During the slow songs I try to hold him tight and he says, " This is a school dance, you can't grope me." ( I don't recall anything in our marriage vows that states I can't!) Anyways, I behaved myself! hehehe!

The dance was nearly over and the school principal comes up to us. Awesome lady! And she say's "Those teachers over there just asked if it was very appropriate for Mr. Heath to be dancing so much with that 8th grader." She looked at us, laughed and said, "Oh that's not an 8th grader, that is his wife, better yet, they have two kids." We all laughed together!

The thing that is disturbing though, is not the fact that I looked like a 14 year old girl to them, but that they thought Jared would dance all night with a student and even slow dance with her. Creepy! It was our first year at that school and Jared's fellow teachers had not met me yet, though they have now.

So, today I get to go and help chaperon again. I am excited and I am sure that I will not be mistaken as one of the students...hopefully. But if I am, the school principle will be able to say, "Oh, that's his wife, and better yet, they have three kids!"

My question is, how young can you pull off, I can pull off 14!

The Mischievious one

Alexis found the vasiline container and got it all over. This was the second time she did it, so we figured, we better take a picture to show her when she is older just how naughty she really was as a little girl. Hopefully, she grows out of her mischievious stage.
Alexis climbed up onto our bathroom counter and proceeded to go through anything and everything. My makeup bag was emptied out all over the counter. Jared took these pictures. he was watching the kids and finally realized that Alexis wasn't watching the movie he put on. He walked in to see the water in the sink running full tilt with her feet under the water.

She must have a chapped belly button.
I never thought to use chapstick on my tummy.






I guess Jared and I took to long to butter their bagels so they took it upon themselves to get the job done. We walk into the kitchen and there they are dipping thier bagels in the butter carton.

You know that if the house is quiet, they are up to something, as you know from my last entry, they are constantly fighting, so silence is a good indicator that they are up to no good. These picture prove it.

Just because your eating doesn't mean you can't fight...Our conversation during breakfast.

Alexis, “Hey mom, I hear another airplane.” Let’s listen again, she then puts her hand to her ear, “come on mom.”

Kenzie burps.

Alexis, “Scuse you.” Kenzie, “No, scuse you!” “No, scuse you!” “No, scuse you!” (That continues for a couple more rounds.

Kenzie starts making silly faces at Eli, whose highchair I scooted up to the table, between both girls. He loves the attention and starts making sounds at Kenzie. Alexis thinks that is a good idea so she grabs his chair and pulls it towards herself. It couldn’t be more than an inch that she moved him.

Kenzie say’s, “ He wants to sit next to me!” Alexis, “No, she wants to sit next to me!” (Alexis always uses the feminine pronoun for everybody.) “Me!” “No, me!” Every time they say that to each other, they scoot Eli’s chair towards themselves. So this interchange went a couple of rounds. Then it got physical. Alexis started reaching across his chair and grabbing Kenzie’s arms to try and get her to let go. Much screaming! (Normally, I would have stopped the fighting long before, but I am trying to see the humor in the situation, so I am sitting across the table from them writing the entire scene down on a piece of paper. Once it got physical, I just stood up, grabbed the camera and sat back down.) Finally, Kenzie gets up from her chair and walks over to Alexis’ chair and scoots it away from Eli. Well, that really made Alexis mad and so she is screaming, “No Kenz!” But she is not strong enough to scoot her chair back so she just sits there crying. Meanwhile, Kenzie has gone back to her chair to play with Eli some more. A few minutes later, Kenzie notices that Alexis is sad, she gets up from her chair, walks over to Alexis and says, “It’s ok, come on.” She helps her down, and leads her to the bedroom to play with toys.

But it doesn’t end there. Alexis instead decides to yell out, “Kenzie, you’re being naughty!” and shuts the door. She walks up to me and says, “Mom, Kenzie has to stay in the bedroom.” (Wonder where she learned that?) Kenzie is crying, opens the door and comes out. She walks up to me and says, “Mom, Alexis shut the door.” I said, “Oh, man!” Alexis comes up and takes Kenzie’s hands, “You’re being naughty, you need to go to bed.” (I finally intervened.)

That’s what happened during breakfast. Right now, we have some peace. They are coloring at the table, but it always turns into a fight over who gets a certain color crayon. That’s what you get for having two kids one year and ten days apart! It’s a love hate relationship between them!
