My new little niece

I'm an aunt again! That is such a special title that i don't know can be topped beside perhaps being able to say that you are a grandma!

But anyways, my sweet little sister, Sharon, had her baby. I love being able to hold Penny. She is such a pretty girl! So happy for my sister and her family!

Happy Easter

We had a nice Easter Day celebrating the gift that or Savior gave us of the atonement and resurrection. We have been blessed with so much and we would be very ungrateful if we didn't express or gratitude for the gospel of Jesus Christ!

  On Saturday, we went to or local Easter egg hunt. We were watching over Dusty and Megann's kids while they traveled to Burley, Id for a job interview for a principals position, which he got! But anyways, e had Lainey and Libby with us for the hint. The older girls and Eli went to their age group sections and I took Jordyn and Libby with me. The girls were perfectly fine, as seen in the first picture, but then the police car siren announced the start of the hunt and all craziness ensued. Jordyn started crying really bad and wouldn't let go of my leg. Poor Libby was startled so much that she cried too but I think her huntress instincts also kicked in cause she was running around grabbing eggs left and right. The families around us were really nice and saw that Jordyn didn't get any eggs and each gave her some. Very nice people! The same thing happened to Lexie and people gave her eggs too! Eli banked in his age group and so he shared some of his eggs with his slower fellow hunters. It's all about the sharing afterwards that makes it so nice!

On Sunday, we had a nice talk with the kids about the true meaning of Easter and then gave them gifts from us, the mom and dad, in hopes that they will think of the gift that our Heavenly Father gave us of His only begotten son! We then enjoyed a nice roast dinner. 

Meet sweet friend, Brenda, brought over a cute flower arrangement made out of cake balls and fondant. It was really nice of her and they tasted really good too!  She also made chocolate cupcakes filled with either a peanut butter or cream cheese filling....so good! I ate three of them....! If I normally did hash tags i would say something like #iamnotashamed or something like that.

Kenzie Plays Volleyball

Kenzie was given the opportunity to play volleyball this year in our local club program. Normally the girls don't start until 5th grade but they had four openings and we were offered a place. Kenzie excitedly accepted. She chose not to do basketball this year because it is just too much of a contact sport for her likeing. So when this became available, she was really excited!

She is still pretty timid but she has already improved a great deal. We had our first set of games yesterday in Logan, Utah, which won't normally be that far away, and she really had a lot of fun.

We got to our games on time and found out that every one else had accidentally driven to the wrong place and so we had to wait about an hour before anyone arrived. We warmed up with Kenzie for so long that afterwards she had a pretty bruised wrist. I kept asking if she wanted to rest but she has been trying to get her serves over the net and didn't want to stop. I promise i didn't push her to keep going, it was all her!! I felt so bad that she ended up hurting herself!

However, she played through it after daddy saved the day and bought pink athletic tape to wrap her wrist up. She had a few passes go her way....and some she got. But she had fun and it was fun to watch her!

Friends Reunited!

This past weekend we had to travel down to Logan, Utah for Kenzies volleyball game and so we had the opportunity to catch up with old friends from college. Dallon and Patty were awesome people we met at BYU-Idaho in our singles ward. We got married within a month of each other and haven't seen one another in over 10 years.

Spring Break: My sister Shaina

The reason we went to Colorado was to visit my sister, Shaina, and her husband, Heath, and the kids.  They've lived there quite a few years now and we've really wanted to visit them and see their house. They are trying to find a new job in Utah and so we thought this could be the last chance we can see them in Colorado so we took the opportunity.

Spring Break: Cassidy Marshall

Every year for spring break we try to leave because otherwise, we suffer at home doing nothing in horrible weather and just clean the house and sit around. A waste of a week off from school.

So we decided to go to Colorado this year. My friend, Cassidy Marshall, moved away a year ago and we were lucky enough to be able to stop at her house and visit for a few days.
