My Sexy Trees

I like to paint and so I dabble around here and there. If there is something that I see that I really like and think I can paint, I will try it. I was in my doctors office waiting room and saw these really pretty pictures of trees with a slight female figure. I thought, I could draw out really flowing dresses and see how they turn out. Well, this is the result. I am kind of embarrassed to show them, I am not really confident in my painting but Jared really likes them and so does Sharon so...they can't be all that bad. I guess I just have a really critical eye for my art because it is by no means great like some of my brother-in-law, Jason's work. Or even my sister Sharon's friend Brittany; she does awesome stuff too. So, anyway, I hope you like it and if you don't, don't be too mean in your comments. Spring

My personality

I think I agree with most of what this test says I am...though, I don't get jealous, but the last bit I think is right. People have thought I was snobbish until they get to know me, and I can seem loud and innapropriate at times though I think humor is appropriate in most places, even at church! If you read this, then I want you to do a test too!

Poor Eli

Eli was standing and trying to reach the blocks in the bucket and got stuck. Jared and I hear his whining and Jared quickly pops up to get him out. I said, "WAIT!" Let me get a picture. Poor Eli had to wait until I ran outside to grab the camera. His cry was so sad. Jared pulled Eli out and tried to comfort him but he wiggled free and came to me, that''s right, he came to me. Jared felt betrayed since I was the one that made him wait a little while longer in order to get a picture. Jared saved Eli, but Eli wanted momma. That's Right!

Something Weird About Me.

I am really weird when it comes to wearing shoes. I cannot clean up and straighten up anything if I am not wearing shoes. I will walk in the kitchen, see the dirty dishes, go to my room and put on my tennis shoes. If I have to rotate the laundry, I go to my room and put on my shoes. See the kids bed unmade, I go to my room put on my shoes, and get to work.

Well, Sunday afternoon, Jared commented on my weird outfit. I must of had to clean up something, most likely the lunch mess, and so, on went the shoes. I can't not put them on. I must wear shoes when cleaning my house. I don't like house slippers, I don't like wearing sandles while cleaning, it has to be tennis shoes!

Pretty stylish isn't it!

Feelin' the Heat?

On Friday my sis-in-law, Megann, begged me to go to the Twilight party with her. She was already going with my sister Sharon but really wanted me to go too, so I agreed and also dragged in Jemayla, another sis-in-law. Sharon managed to get her friend Brittany to come as well. With all 5 of us going, we made a girls night out of it. We went to dinner at TGI Fridays and then headed over to Barnes and Nobles for the party.

I had a feeling that it would be kind of a dress up party and so we went to scope it out. Sure enough, there were girls left and right dressed up in their most formal of outfits. Hair was pinned and curled and nails were all done. Well, we weren't about to go home and put on our formals, but we couldn't Not dress up so....Being the quick thinking moms that we are, we drove to the dollar store and picked up some t-shirts, scissors, sharpies, hair spray and dark eye shadow to put together our outfits. Though we are not really Jacob supporters, that was the easiest of outfits to put together. We cut slashes through our shirts like we were werewolves and wrote "Team Jacob" on the fronts. We also put little saying from the book on the back.

Here we are making our outfits in the parking lot. We got a few funny looks and then a couple of older women walked by, we smiled and said, we aren't crazy, and they said, oh don't worry, school hasn't started yet. They must have thought we were teenagers.

Here is our group acting like we are "phasing" into werewolves. Scary isn't it?

Some phrases we came up with for our shirts were...
"I'm in the mood to Imprint,
Don't make me angry,
Dear Bella, pick me,
You missed me eat a whole cow,
I like motorcycles,
and Can you feel the heat?"

Just regular, every day moms, doing everyday regular things. WE look so innocent.

We showed up at Barnes and Nobles and immediately got attention. Crazy teenage girls who are in love with Edward Cullen gave us looks that would have killed us. Good thing there was security men around, or I think they might have tried to brawl with us. (Not that they would have won, us moms would have totally taken them down.) We stood in line to get our passes to buy the book and then went inside. While waiting in line, the girls behind us said...(in a very snobby way) "Team Jocob? I didn't know there were teams, thats a little obsessive if you ask me." (This is coming from a girl in a prom dress with her hair completely done up. I laughed! )

When we went inside, we roamed around for a bit and got our nails painted and would have made corsages but then Channel 6 news asked us if we would be willing to get interviewed for the 10:00 news. We are now famous and so the next time you are at my house, I will show you the clip on our DVR. We are the coolest Moms. At first the reporter thought we were 17 year old girls and when he found out that we were all moms on a girls night out, they loved us even more. It was a surprise to them because we were a bit giggly but we composed ourselves and gave an excellent interview that would have made our moms proud.

So, though I am not quite sure I am a twilight fan, I still had fun. Husbands out there, you may never know what your wife will do when she goes on a girls night out. I left looking normal and came home wearing a torn up shirt, my hair all teased and tree branched hanging from my hair. Yes, it was quite the experience. I am glad Megann pulled my into it!

Give the dog your food!

We just got home from church and I am trying to give the kids something to hold them over until I fix them something to eat. I gave Kenzie and Alexis yogurt but I only had peach and strawberry/banana left. Alexis called for the pink kind so Kenzie got the Peach. She wasn't happy about that. Alexis slowly ate hers and Kenzie scarfed hers down.

Now, if you have ever seen the movie Underdog then you will better understand this story. Kenzie, who was finished with her food, decides to start acting like a dog. She does this often and Alexis acts like her owner. Well, suddenly, Kenzie starts chanting, "give the dog your food, give the dog your food, give the dog your food." She does it in a very monotone way, while staring at the food with this crazed look on her face. Alexis, succumbing to the chant, slides over her barely touched yogurt and now Kenzie is happily enjoying the pink yogurt.

Oh well, the sandwiches were ready anyways.

Making Pizza

Jared and I have been lucky this week to get to hang out with Joe, Ben, and luke. We tried to do things that they would enjoy and one of the things was making pizza.

Here is Joey rolling out his dough.

Jared is supervising.

Luke enjoying the flour before we can give him some dough. He had it all over himself. When we gave him his ball of dough, he just poked at it. I don't have a picture of Kenzie but she just kept taking bites out of hers, gross!

Kenzie, Joe, and the Ben's pizza's. After taking a few bites, Ben informed us that he changed his mind and does not like mushrooms. We picked those off for him.

I caught Jared being impatient. He just kept watching the pizza. He was so excited to eat his own pizza made with pepperoni, sausage, green bell peppers, pineapple, and mushrooms. He was salivating as he put everything on.

Here I am about to cut my homemade pizza. It was very yummy!
