Bird Whisperer...

This morning the kids came into my room telling me about this baby bird that is stick in our window well. They told me the mommy and daddy birds were standing at the top of the well holding a worm in their mouth, chirping at the baby. " Save the baby mom!" I told them that we would wait a little bit to see if the baby can fly out.

Well, half the day went by and I could hear the little chirps. I thought that I would get a net to get it out but couldn't find one. My neighbor, Melissa Daniels, was outside and she coached me on how to get the bird out. I climbed into the well, scooped the baby into a bucket, handed the bucket up to Melissa, and climbed out (like a ninja). We let the baby go with the hope that the mommy and daddy would come back with her little chirps calling to them. I hope so!!

Rebakah Graduates

My sister, Rebekah, is so awesome and just graduated college with a degree in elementary education special ed. She is going to be such a great teacher!! She has worked so hard and I look up to her so much! She has been dedicated and endured alot to get to this point and I'm so proud of her!! Happy graduation Reb- eh- kah...( I no no no Reb-eh-kah!! This is an inside joke that she and i will appreciate!!)

Color me Rad...Fun Run...?

My sister, Shavonne, talked, coherced, tricked, encouraged, or invited me...take your pick, into doing a 5K with her and my other sister, Sharon. I really didn't want to do it, but when a free ticket came available for me, i couldn't say no.

I wasn't looking forward to it and especially on the day when i woke up to rain and we were suppose to run in it, but my sisters made it fun by making special shirts and head bands the night before.

Though it started out cold, as we ran we warmed up and it was really fun to be all together. We even talked our nephew, Conner, into running with us cause there was another extra ticket that no one was going to use. We would walk a bit and run a bit, always taking advantage of the paint stations to get as colorful as we could. In the end we used up the free powder paint packages and got super colorful for our photo shoot that we did in the end. I had a lot of fun and would do it again! Thanks Shavs for making me do this...wink wink!!!

Drunk Charles in Vegas

As we enjoyed walking down the strip in Las Vegas, we encountered Charles who had great words of wisdom.  When I mentioned that he seemed to have been drinking quite a bit, he said, "You only have one life." I guess he uses that philosophy as his reason to drink while I use the same reasoning to refrain from drinking. I doubt he'll remember our encounter, but I will.

Our favorite Chinese restaurant is in Newport, WA. We brought the kids to try it. Their taste buds aren't as refined.

Fathers and sons @ Green Canyon

Courtney told me to take lots of pictures. I know it was her secret way of wanting evidence that I actually kept an eye on my son. The problem was that Eli and his friend Teagan would see the camera and run. I did my best.

Miss Jordyn turns 4

Jordyn has been looking forward to her birthday for a very long time. She wants to be old enough to go to school. She would always skip 4 and go straight to 5 but we finally got her to say 4 and stick with it. She is so fun!! She likes to play with Barbies, color, paint with water colors, have her hair in braids, and play with friends. Right now, her current expressions are "i want you, I'm gonna marry Boston, ya seriously, and I'm hungry." She is my little buddy!

Las Vegas Trip

Jared and I got to go to 
Las Vegas together.  
Jared had an administrators meeting there and so he bought me a plane ticket so i could go with him.  We had a good time, 
I think the pictures speak for themselves.

It was fun going but i sure do appreciate the small town goodness of 
Shelley Idaho and would rather be there then hanging out on the 
Las Vegas strip any day. 

One highlight of the trip was that we went to the pool a few times and while there, we played water volleyball. Well, a nice 
Itallian gentleman lost his wedding ring in the pool during our game. We all immediately stopped playing and started looking. 
After ten minutrs it seemed hopeless. He told us it was okay to stop looking but you could see that he and his wife were dissapointed. 
I had said a prayer for help and so i knew i would find it. Turns out 
I did. I had an impression to go look in an area that nobody was looking at because we saw the ring fly off in a different direction. 
Immediately it was right there! 
I grabbed it with my toes, pulled it up, and called out that it was found! 
The couple was so happy! 
I told Jared that 
"prayer works!" he found it amusing that i would pray to find the ring, i say,  why not pray to find it?
