Day 2 of Weber Family Reunion

This day is a crowning moment for our family. On this special day, Ian and Karissa were sealed in the Mt. Timpanogus Temple for Time and for all Eternity. Now all 10 of us kids have been to the temple and on this very special day, we were all together. When Ian and Karissa walked it, it was so special, so wonderful! We are all an Eternal family and our children will be with us forever! I am sure that my mom and dad were so proud! For them, it is 100%. They taught us well, we truly were given goodly parents!

The special couple, Ian and Karissa, now an eternal family!
(I am sure that all my siblings could agree that we are so proud and happy for them! We worried, we cried, we prayed for Ian and he came back into the church. He turned his life around and found an amazing woman and together, they made it to the temple.)

2 Parents
10 kids
9 spouses
29 grandchildren
3 on the way (won't tell who because I think it is still a secret....not me!)
After a glorious time at the temple, we went to Warren and Autumn's house and bbq'd and played some more.

In the back yard they had a ping pong table and played ping pong tag, or something like that. All the guys stood around the table and you had to hit the ball and then hand off the paddle and if you missed the ball you were out. It looked really fun, I wanted to play but I didn't want to make Jared sit out with Jordyn so I could play.

Warren , the oldest Weber child, ready for some action.
The grand kids and Mom dancing to some music on the back steps.
Those standing: Alexia, Alexis, Mackenzie, Alizabeth, and Mom
After eating and being driven inside by another thunder storm, we exchanged white elephant gifts. We do separate gifts for the kids. We buy a present for each of our own kids and then put them all in the middle and then the kids each pick a new present.

Stuffing 50 Webers, plus Karissa's family onto a living room. Good times...but very hot!
After dismissing the kids with their new gifts, we can really begin the party.
We have a family gag gift called the zilch that we have passed around among the girls and so I decided to start a family one that will be passed on when we do our white elephant exchange. I chose this lovely teddy bear sweater and signed it, Weber Family Reunion 2011 by Corks. Shaina got it, but Sharon stole it during our Yankee swap game...so...we will see who gets it next year.
It's kind of a tradition for us kids to give mom and dad a special gift. This year, we came up with the idea to write down a bunch of our childhood memories and make a book out of it. Each kid, spouse, and grand kid did something. We did separate ones for mom and dad. The books are not the same, they are individual. They turned out so so so good. If you are trying to think of a good sentimental special present, this is the way to go! Thanks Shaina for putting them all together.
(FYI, if you haven't "donated" any money to Shaina for putting the books together and printing them, I am sure that she would still take your offering!)
Nancy's hubby, Trevor, got some real pretty homemade headbands that Melissa did. He's a good sport, he fits well in our family!

Once the storm had passed and it was dark outside. We gathered again in the back yard for a good ol' movie on the projector. But first, we had to make fun of Jason, Kim's hubby, for doing a horrible presentation. When Nancy was in her communications class at BYU-Idaho, her teacher was sharing with the class the proper way to give a presentation. He then said, "I have here, an example of what not to do." As Nancy was watching it, she realized that it was her own brother-in-law doing the presentation.  After class she asked for a copy. The teacher obliged her and we all enjoyed laughing at Jason. Yes, at him! It was so funny to see him do his presentation, knowing that it was suppose to be a 5 minute presentation that turned into a 20 minute presentation. Jason was a good sport about it, as he always is.
We closed our reunion with a family prayer and headed our separate ways the next day. We have been very blessed as a family. I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love my family and we will be together forever! You can't beat that!

What a wonderful family you have! I love the idea of the memory books! The picture of them reading them says it all! How wonderful that all of you were together, and in the temple together for that special occasion! Thanks for the pics of your family. I love them!!
