Another Family Reunion...But just as Great!

The Weber's had another reason to get together and that means it's party time!
To start off the festivities, the girls went out for brunch at the Cracker Barrel, my sister Kim works there. We had a surprise baby shower for my older sister, Shavonne, who is going to have her first baby in October. We are all excited for her and wanted to make sure that she had plenty of stuff for her little baby boy.

(We are squinting pretty bad because it was so sunny and bright out.)
Back row: Mom, Rebekah, Sharon, Melissa, and Autumn
Front row: Kim, Nancy, Me (Courtney), Shaina, Shavonne, Karissa, and Andelin (Warren and Autumn's baby)

After brunch, we met back up with the boys and kids.  When you have 19 siblings, 2 parents, and 29 grand kids getting together, your whole day should be planned out so that you can maximize your time together and not be in complete chaos!
The first activity on our list was to drive to the Spanish Fork Reservoir. It was a really pretty little place up in the mountains. I thought we were for sure going the wrong way as we traveled up hill but sure enough, we found it nestled on a little plateau. We had great weather for about an hour and a half and then it started to thunder and lightening. We made the most of it!

Eli playing in the sand.
Kenzie just loves to swim, she always jumps right in.
Karissa and I are hanging out with the babies, Jordyn and Max.
Please excuse the major white thighs!
Dad and Mom enjoying watching their children and grandchildren play at the beach.
Uncle Ian is always fun for the kids. He threw anyone who was willing. Mackenzie was very willing, so long as she got to plug her nose first!
After huddling under the canopy's while it rained, we ate our lunch and then heading back down the mountain to my brother, Jamie's house, in Lehi. They have an amazing little park behind their house as part of their community. We gathered there for the rest of our evening.

Of course we have games planned for the park too!
Autumn put together great minute-to-win-it games. This challenge was to cut a puzzle out of the paper into 10 pieces. Shaina and Dad went against each other but Dad's simple engineering mind came up with a better and faster way of cutting the paper up and won the game. Dad then went up against mom...who suspiciously won.
The next challenge was to fit 10 noodles onto the spaghetti noodle the fastest and without breaking it.

Mom was concentrating pretty hard!
Rebekah was Mom's challenger. Sadly, the spaghetti noodles kept breaking after 5 little noodles were on it, so we had a draw with this competition.
Another challenge was stacking cups in a pyramid and then sliding them back down into one stack.

I was loosing and so at the end I started throwing my cups at Lizzie, Kim's oldest, but I still lost.
In this game, Warren and Sharon had to line the bags up from biggest to smallest and move them from the bench to the top of the table. Warren (who just turned 40) showed his age and was too slow, Sharon won!
While all this was going on...Jordyn explored.
After the minute-to-win-it games, we all played kick ball.
I am a mean aunt and I totally got out Kamyren, Shaina's oldest. I couldn't just let her by...what kind of game would that be?
Mom up to kick. She was growling and trying to intimidate little Kaleb. It was hilarious~!

Dad also kicked the ball. After that, he had one of the little boys run for him. (As you can see, Carson is ready to go right behind dad.)
And finally, to close the festivities for Day 1 of the Weber Family Reunion, we played Halo.
(The funny story behind this is that the guys always get together one night and play a game of Halo, gun shooting type of video game.  Mom saw that the guys were planning on this game but knew not what it was. She replied, "I assume halo is a glow in the dark tag game, count me in." We all laughed at that and figured out a way to play "Halo" mom style. We got glow sticks and waited until it was dark and played tag. It was fun. This is the picture of all of us in our glow sticks.
