Jerry and Betty, Jared's parents, have been serving a mission in Uruguay for the past 18 months and we have been keeping an eye on their condo for them while they were gone. We didn't really wreck their condo but we did want them to return with a nice clean house. So all of us kids got together and cleaned up all the nitty gritty stuff that may have built up while no one was living there.
The cars...I would say they needed the most TLC. They got their tires pumped back up, oil changes, gassed up, and a new battery put in one of them. After hours of keeping them running, they finally kept a charge and started up on their own.
Here Jemayla and Lainey are dusting and wiping down the door.
Uncle Byron was teaching Lilly how to propperly wipe off countertops.
I, along with most of the nieces and nephews, took turns giving Maren, Byron and Jemayla's new baby, lots of love, just like she'll be getting from Grandma and Grandpa when they get home.
Kenzie and Lainey helped break in the wood floors with their dancing. They just wanted to make sure they would hold up too all the pitter patter of grandchildren's feet.
The grandkids pulled out the toys that have been stored away, making sure to get the dust all off of them.
With all of us pitching in, it didn't take long to get everything in working order. Everything was dusted, scoured, vacuumed, laundered, and updated. We are all set for Grandma and Grandpa to come home.
