My little Alexis turned 7 and is anxiously waiting till she turns 8. She has been hearing us talk to Kenzie about Baptism and how we are so excited for her to get baptized so she is getting more and more excited for when it is her time. She kept reminding us all week about her birthday and the morning of, she requested crepes for breakfast and so Jared got up early to make her her special birthday breakfast.
The kids hurried off to school on the school bus and soon after classes started, I get a phone call from Lexie telling/reminding me that I can't forget her birthday treat for the other kids in her class. She said that she wanted to get candy necklaces for everyone but they didn't have any packages at the store that I went to, so they ended up with just chocolate chip cookies. She seemed happy enough with those so it worked out.
That evening, Lexie chose pizza for her special birthday dinner. Each of the kids got to help put their toppings on their own English muffins.
Lexie opened her presents and then got to blow out her cake. A simple family dinner and desert but a nice party anyways.
