Happy Independence Day!

Happy 4th of July everyone! We had such a fun day. We woke early to get to the parade across town. Luckily, Dusty and Megann saved a great spot the night before so we were nicely shaded under a tree during the whole thing. The girls loved running and getting the candy, seeing the horses, and the pretty princesses in their big dresses. Afterwards, we went back to Dusty and Megann's house and had a BBQ. Dusty got a new BBQ from Meg for Father's Day so he was perfectly content to grill us up some stakes, chicken, burgers, and hot dogs. Afterwards, we let to go home and take a long nap in preparation for the long evening we would have.

That evening, we went over to our good friends house. The Cleggs have been close friends of ours practically since we moved here, Todd and Alyce, you rock! We BBQ again, and then played a competitive game of croquett. Jared and I were teamed up and we almost won the game but in the end, my soft side took over and I let the new pregnant neighbor win...ehem... ( I just aimed badly, combined with the fact that I hit the ball with the side of my mallet and so hit the ball all wrong...I suck!) We then moved our party to the front lawn and played the WII. I bowled a 125 and Jared bowled 99. (Again I beat him...hahaha) It got dark enough for us to begin the fireworks. They were awesome. Todd set off a bunch of big ones and Alexis exclaimed afterwards..."OH MY GOSH!" She had her hands on her cheeks, very cute. Then we watched National Treasure outside on the lawn. It was a fun party.
