Mr. Larry Sauer was my 6th grade teacher and I'd have to say, probably my favorite! He taught for 42 years. He was also my basketball coach, along with Coach Fred, from 5th grade in AAU, all the way to Senior year. He sang and played his guitar, and took care of any rowdy kids by threatening them with him grabbing them by their back belt straps and top cuff of their shirts, no one acted out of line for him! He has a beard and always wore a fish tie to the basketball games along with cowboy boots and a cowboy hat.
I appreciate him so much and hope that he has a wonderful retirement! He's definitely one of the great ones!!
