Pin the tie on the Bishop

For church, my calling is over the Achievement Day girls and so every two weeks we have an activity together. Well, we just got another lady called to help me out and so we decided to have a get better acquainted activity. I was in charge of the activity and she was in charge of the treat.

I thought, what are some fun games that we use to play as kids. Pin the tale on the donkey came to mind and immediately, my mind thought, I have a funny picture of our bishop wearing an army hat; I can blow up his head and put it on a piece of cardboard and we could play pin the tie on the bishop. I drew out the shape of a suit coat and then cut it out. I grabbed my acrylic paints and painted in a black suit coat and white shirt. Then I cut out some papers in the shape of ties and told the girls to decorate them with things that they like to do. I did mine with silly faces all over it because I like to smile and have fun. The girls decorated their ties and then we tried to pin the tie in the right spot. It was a pretty fun activity and we got to know the girls better through this game. Here I am just chilling with the Bishop. I'm sure he would get a kick out of seeing this picture! We're going to give Bishop Hurley this cardboard rendition of him on Sunday, hopefully he'll put it up in the display case near his office, that would be hilarious!
