Mackenzie has been working hard all year on her D.A.R.E program and last week they had the graduation program for it. It was so cute watching the kids interact with the D.A.R.E. officer. They definitely build a great relationship of trust add they learned about the importance of not doing drugs and the best way to handle stress and peer pressure.
It was cool to see Jared as principle hand out their awards and be part of the program too. I'm grateful that Idaho still considers the D.A.R.E. program important!
I remember being in Mrs. Kobylarz's class, 22 years ago, learning about D.A.R.E. I still have not smoked a single cigarette, weed, or other drug ever, nor have I drank wine, beer, or any other alcoholic beverage my entire life. I'm grateful for the things I learned!
Kenzie was the only sident who got to hug the principal as she got her diploma.
