For the year we've been working on trying to buy a new home. Once Jared got the principal job we knew we wanted to get off of the busy road we were on.
We put our house up for sale and had a lot of interest in it but nobody ever put an offer in on it. So we decided that we would try and rent it out and the day after we listed it for rent we found amazing renters.
We then began the process of trying to buy our new home, which took months and months and months. There was so much more paperwork required to buy this new home because we had already had a home that we were renting. We had to wait for student loan papers to come through so that we could come under 55% debt to income ratio (don't freak out by that number, they couldn't count our rental money because they hadn't been renting from us for at least 6 months so our debt to income ratio number seems really high but we really aren't that high!) Anyways, we then had to wait for the government to start running again until finally everything worked out. We closed on the 6th of November and now have this super fancy house.
