Losing teeth and 25 weeks

Mackenzie is 6 years old and has just lost her first tooth. She came up to Jared and me about two weeks ago and said that her teeth are moving. We checked and sure enough, her bottom front teeth were loose. We told her to wiggle them around and eventually they would come out.

A week went by and whenever she would eat she would say that she couldn't chew. Jared decided to take matters into his own hands. Mackenzie, at first, was hesitant but Jared wouldn't do anything until she was ready.

Finally, she agreed!
Jared worked on her teeth for a while before he stated that he could get her teeth out but he didn't want to wrip any skin out with them.

Plus, Kenzie was willing but also seemed scared and would grab Jared's arm, so he decided to not push her.

Immediately after school on Tuesday, Kenzie came up to me and said her tooth was really wiggly. I touched her tooth and it completely lied down. I grabed a paper towel and lifted her tooth out with no effort at all.

She was pretty excited about losing her tooth and we are waiting for the other one to come out before we get it ready for the tooth fairy. She asked me if the tooth fairy was big or little and I said she was about as big as momma. Her eyes got really big and I could almost see a light bulb come on above her head. She asked, "Is the tooth fairy like the fairy on Pinoccio?" I smiled and told her she is a lot like the fairy on Pinoccio!

Jared was dissapointed that after all the time he spent wiggling her tooth, he didn't get to pull Kenzie's tooth. But, there is still one loose tooth to go and many more to come.!

Pardon the Armpit!
25 weeks
Technically 15 weeks to go...
Ideally...11 weeks in my mind.

I feel so huge already, I am way bigger than I was before, every day I roll out of bed and can barely walk. I have to shuffle to the bathroom and run a hot bath to soak in in order to loosen up my hips. It is worth it!(I keep telling myself.) I am greatful that my baby is healthy. I am willing to have these aches and pains instead of my baby having any problems. I feel very blessed that I can have children and can soon welcome this baby girl into our family. I just have to keep myself occupied or these next couple of weeks will seem like an eternity.

First teeth are always an adventure! You look great. Hope your hip loosens up!! Baths are always a good idea.

What a brave little girl Kenzie is. You are right, there will be plenty more teeth for Jared to help with. And I think you look great!!! Good way to look at the pains and aches as a positive experience.

Wouldn't it be cool if you actually had twins?

I liked pulling out Baili's loose tooth, some people think that it is gross but I thought it was fun, guess that makes me weird. Anyways I am excited for Kenz, hope the other tooth comes out soon. and I think that you look great! agreed with Shaina that taking a bath is not all that bad, it's like almost everyday you get some alone time.

When it's the 'first tooth' they are so excited and worried. :) It's cute, huh? Some of my favorite pics of my kids are the ones with toothless grins!

11 weeks...yeah! I'm counting down with ya. I know how you feel about hurting and stuff. When I am at the end weeks before delivering- my body hurts SOOOO bad that I cry just to turn over in bed. Hot showers are nice when I hurt.

And you're right- it's worth it in the end! A sweet, healthy baby to hold.
